Blog Post #1: Lean Startup Concepts That Fit PlatedPal

PlatedPal is all about starting small, seeing how people respond, and improving from there. We’re not trying to build every single feature from day one. Instead, we launch with the basics that let people browse, order, and enjoy curated regional food experiences. Once orders start coming in, we pay attention to how people use the site, what they say in reviews, and which dishes or categories they keep coming back to. If something doesn’t land well, we change it. If something really works, we put more focus on it.

This follows the build–measure–learn approach. We build a simple but working version, measure how people use it, and learn from the results. That way we’re not wasting time or money building stuff that no one actually wants. It also means we can move fast when trends change or a new seasonal dish takes off. In a business where menus, tastes, and ingredients can change overnight, being able to adapt quickly is extremely important!
